You know I love my fresh juice!

Juicing suffers a bad rep as it is often not associated with tasting delicious, yet the foodie that I am really enjoys juicing. I juice every morning and although I have sometimes tried associating veggies that didn’t blend well together taste wise (more tips on that below), I can assure you that juicing can be as delish as it is healthy. So here’s our juicing recipe game plan.

The green one

Be real, when you think “green juice” you think blah. Well the secret to making green juice delicious is using cucumber! It is so fresh and adds yumminess and sweetness to every juice while keeping it really low in carbs.

My go-to green juice: *proportions are for 2 juices

  • 2 cucumbers
  • 3 celery sticks
  • half a bag of spinach and/or 1 romain
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lime
  • a small piece of ginger

And you’re good to go, trust me it’s delish. Thank you cucumber.

You can also add white grapes if you want it sweeter.

The sweet one

I love this one!

  • half a pineapple
  • 2 cucumbers
  • half a bag of spinach and/or 1 romain
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lime

FYI do not mix ginger and pineapple, it won’t taste good…

The happy one

Started drinking this one when I was in Palma de Mallorca as the veggie place down at the market was making it daily and we didn’t have our juicer there…

  • 1 pack of strawberries
  • 4 oranges
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 piece of turmeric root

You can also add some grapefruit in there too. I love it.

The oh-no-you-didn’t one

Disclaimer, when you read this it’s gonna gross you out, yet it actually tastes nice. The word you’re not gonna like is: cabbage. Green cabbage. It has amazing health benefits and mixed with some apples it’s surprisingly not bad at all. It has a peppery taste that I like and the benefits are endless. Great source of vitamin C and K, reduces inflammation, lower blood pressure and most of all helps with digestion. This is a winner should you feel bloated.

  • half a green cabbage
  • 2 apples
  • 2 lemons

Play with ingredients, have fun with it, juicing is supposed to be a feel good thing and not a chore. Try first juices that are sweet in taste like the happy strawberry one, then do a sweet one, which is basically a green juice with pineapple, before transitioning to a plain green juice. No one is forcing you to do the cabbage one but there’s no harm in trying right? Well done to you in any case on your wellness journey, adding one juice a day can seriously transform your physical and emotional condition so give it a try!
