La Prairie Review
Last time I went to Sephora in Nice (back in June), the lady at the counter was so lovely she gave me La Prairie samples to try. I used them for 10 days and here’s what happened…
It’s like my skin came back to life. That shit is expensive but it is honestly worth every single penny.
The products I have tested:
Putting La Prairie on your face is like accessing the heavens, I couldn’t wait to put that stuff on my face each and every day. The texture is incredible and it leaves the skin so replenished and fresh.
My skin has been very dehydrated lately (extensive traveling + AC full force here in South Florida) and the only time I woke up with my skin not feeling dry is when I slept with La Prairie creams on my face. I’m serious, this works. Plus my skin is more radiant and uniform (less discoloration patches).
My absolute favorites from the batch she gave me are the following:
Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Serum. I’m totally in love with this serum. It has a pearly texture which goes on so smooth on the skin.
Extrait of Skin Caviar Firming Complex. Day and night cream. That’s like putting whipped cream and a cherry on top of a cupcake. It makes your skin delicious.
Skin Caviar Essence-in-lotion. To use instead of the mist (check here for my guide to how to layer skincare) right after cleansing. It’s so luscious.
Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream. To apply all around the eye area but sticking on the bone only, no need to go closer to the eye.
Cellular Mineral Face Exfoliator. Best exfoliator ever. Very gentle to my sensitive skin yet feels like I have a brand knew skin each time I use it. Especially efficient after long hauls.
The reason I’m not going into detail about each product is because it is La Prairie, it does it all and it does everything it says it would. It moisturizes, hydrates, protects, rejuvenates, lifts, gets rid of fine lines, plumps and so on and so forth. It’s amazing.
The one product I still have to try is the Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold, which is to be kept for special occasions 😉 It basically covers your face in gold pigments to reflect the light and make you look photoshopped in real life.
Last but not least, the Line Interception Power Duo. The texture didn’t make me go wow as it did with the Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Serum and the Extrait of Skin Caviar Firming Complex, yet it delivered results and I particularly recommend it when you travel as the packaging is really convenient. You have one bottle with 2 sections, one day cream, one night cream, it locks nicely, it’s quite compact and you can 3 months treatments, which makes it a bit over $100 per month. It is expensive but it can be doable (if your budget allows). Your skin will thank you for it.
Thank you for stopping by, I hope this La Prairie review was helpful!
