Marilicious Approved: Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Gel Cream

Ceramidin Gel Cream Review

I wanted a new moisturizer. I have been using the Novexpert “Velvety Hydro-biotic Fluid” for 9 months, and 1) I wanted to test something new and 2) Novexpert is not available in the US so now I’m in Florida, although I’m traveling back and forth, it’s not the most convenient thing ever… Plus there’s a big hype surrounding the Dr Jart+ brand so I wanted to test the Ceramidin Gel Cream out and see what it was all about.

I have been using it on and off for over a month now and I really like this product. Available here.

What is the Ceramidin Gel Cream?

It is a hydrating gel-like cream that soothes and deeply moisturizes the skin. The fun / unusual thing about this cream is that is contains micro capsules that once on the skin completely dissolves themselves. So you see the capsules in the pot and feel them on your fingers yet they disappear once on the skin. They are ceramidin capsules, hence the name (you can see the capsules in the pic below and have an idea of the Ceramidin Gel Cream‘s texture).

Ceramides are lipids present in the skin that have the function of retaining moisture in the skin and maintaining the skin’s structure.

It is very fresh, very soothing and easily absorbed. Good makeup base.

When to use it?

As your daily moisturizer, in the AM after serum and in the PM before oil or treatment.

What’s in it?

Ceramidin Gel Cream ingredients: Water, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Water, Glycerin, Cyclopentasiloxane, 1,2-Hexanediol, Methylpropanediol, Betaine, Peg/Ppg-17/6 Copolymer, Stearic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Tromethamine, Triethylhexanoin, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Xanthan Gum, Piper Methysticum Leaf/Root/Stem Extract, Diphenyl Dimethicone, Ceramide 3, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Pueraria Thunbergiana Root Extract, Cnidium Officinale Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Root Extract, Amaranthus Caudatus Seed Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Dipropylene Glycol, Peg-10 Rapeseed Sterol, Soluble Collagen, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium Hyaluronate, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Menthyl Pca, Sucrose Palmitate, Ethyl Menthane Carboxamide, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Cholesterol, Glyceryl Stearate, Phospholipids, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glycereth-20, Phytosphingosine, Ceramide 2, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Oil.

Price:

This is great value for money as the Ceramidin Gel Cream retails for $49 for 3 oz / 90 ml. A tiny bit of cream goes a long way as the texture spreads easily.

Highly recommend, about to buy the entire Ceramidin range (Ceramidin Cream, Ceramidin Liquid, and Ceramidin Oil Balm) + the new Water Fuse Hydro Sleeping Mask.

Dr Jart+, I love thee.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope this Ceramidin Gel Cream review was helpful. Product available here.

With style,
